Jenna Gering was born in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. She grew up on the beach and spent her childhood playing sports and basically being a tomboy. When she was 14, a hairdresser spotted her and asked if she'd like to become a model. Her mother Jeanne, thought it was a great idea and shortly thereafter Jenna was spending her summer breaks from school traveling the world for her new 'job'. After High School, Jenna relocated to Miami Beach and began modeling full time. She made her acting debut when an English language Telenovela, "Miami Sands" was to begin shooting in Miami Beach. After a huge casting call Jenna booked one of the 4 lead roles. At the time, she was in her 4th year at the University of Miami where she was studying Theater and Broadcast Journalism. The first break came shortly thereafter when she booked the recurring role of Kristen Moore, Rick Schroder's girlfriend on "NYPD Blue". Since NYPD Blue, Gering has landed numerous film and television work. She enjoys doing comedy and is an acting teacher at the Lesly Kahn Acting School in Los Angeles.
