Karimah Westbrook was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She landed her very first audition on the Stephen Bochco now defunct drama, City of Angels. Other shows on which she guest-starred include the Emmy nominated drama ER, Without A Trace, In Justice, The District, (for which her performance was submitted for an NAACP Image Award nomination), 10-8, Strong Medicine and That's Life to name a few. She also had recurring roles on hit shows such as Mad TV, Moesha and the hit UPN comedy Girlfriends. Her movie credits now includes Sony Classics critically acclaimed feature Baadasssss!, which was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards and one NAACP nomination. The Tenants opposite Dylan McDermott and Snoop Dogg, American Fusion where she speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese, and Knuckle Sandwich with Morgan Fairchild. Ms. Westbrook talents and credits also extend to writing and producing. A firm believer in creating her own opportunities, Karimah wrote and produced a short drama with producing partner Erin Norman entitled "Best Kept Secret" in which they also star in.
