Connie Nielsen was born in a little town in Jutland, Denmark. She
had her first acting experience when she was 15 years old, in a
cabaret, written by her mother. When she was 18, she left Denmark,
to travel around the world. She ended up in Italy, where she bought
a house. She landed a role in an American movie called _Voyage
(1993/II)_ (qv). All though the movie got bad reviews, the critics
loved her. After an audition for the movie French Kiss, the
director 'Lawrence Kasdan' (qv), told her that she should move to
The United States. After she landed a role in _Devil's Advocate,
The (1997)_ (qv), she sold her house in Italy, and moved to New
York. After starring in movies like _Rushmore (1998)_ (qv), 0120157
and _Dark Summer (2000)_ (qv), she got her big break in _Mission to
Mars (2000)_ (qv). She then moved on to a big part, in _Gladiator
(2000)_ (qv). She now lives in New York, with her Danish husband,
and her 8 year old son.
